na Mennrich)
(Please click on pictures for larger images)

The Objects of the Society
To cultivate and strengthen the true Celtic ties of
family, the spirit of kin and clanship, and the promotion of friendly
and social intercourse
between members of the clan.
To encourage and to provide grants of money for the preservation,
for the benefit of the Nation, of buildings and places of historic
interest and having a connection with Clan Menzies and recognized by
The National Trust for Scotland as worthy of preservation.
To preserve the history, traditions, arts, antiquities and relics
of the Clan.
To render financial assistance to any member of The Clan Menzies,
whether members of the Society or not, who may be in straitened circumstances.
To
encourage the wearing of Highland dress.

The Gathering
There has been an annual Gathering held every year
since 1957 when the parents of our present Chief, David Menzies of
Menzies, held the
first meeting and resurrected the Menzies Clan Society. This meeting
took the decision to buy the Castle.
Sending donations and other funds to the Society
Using the yellow Paypal button on this page you can send the Menzies Clan Society a donation to help fund our activities. You can also use it to send us money for any other reason (except for membership fees and booking Clan Gathering events, which can be purchased elsewhere on our website). Please email us by clicking here to tell us what you are sending and why. Please note a donation to this account will be a donation to the Society, not to the Castle or The Menzies Charitable Trust. A donation to the Society does not qualify for Gift Aid since the Society is not a charity.
We accept Visa, Visa Electron, Mastercard, Switch, Delta, Solo, and Maestro. All our online donations are handled by PayPal, and a PayPal account is not required.
Please note you will be given an opportunity to state the purpose of your donation if you wish to do so; on the final Paypal screen when you review your donation for the final time.
If you wish to make a donation to Castle Menzies or The Menzies Charitable Trust, please visit the Castle's website: www.castlemenzies.org. |
